A summertime front extends from southern Iowa, through central Kansas, into the Texas panhandle. Image B-2 shows a nice temperture gradient along the front, justifying calling it a front. Image B-3 shows precipitation along the frontal zone. There is a second wind shift line across northern Missiour and northeast Kansas. This wind shift line is not associated with the precipitation farther to the north.
